I’m delighted to be attending the Grasmere Indie Book Fair on Saturday 6th June 2026, where I’ll be exhibiting with signed copies of The Mereland Chronicles: The Crier.
If you enjoy historical fiction with an element of mystery, I’d love to meet you.
The Mereland Chronicles: The Crier is a historical Lake District mystery about a man who thinks he’s saving someone, only to realise he’s the one being undone. Set against the backdrop of medieval Cumbria, the story draws inspiration from the region’s landscapes, history, folklore, and communities.

Writing the novel involved many hours exploring the fells, lakes, and historic sites that helped shape its world. The Lake District is far more than a setting in the book; it is an important part of its character.
Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to browse and purchase signed copies, receive free bookmarks, ask questions about the writing process, and learn more about the historical inspirations behind the story. Whether you’re interested in medieval history, local heritage, or simply discovering a new book, I’d be pleased to chat.
The Grasmere Indie Book Fair brings together independent authors from across the region and offers readers the chance to discover new books while supporting local independent writers.
