On Saturday 28th March, I’ll be attending the Furness Book Fair at Swarthmoor Hall, and if you’re in the area it would be great to see you there.
If you enjoy discovering new books, meeting local authors, or simply want a great day out around Ulverston, get yourself along.

The event brings together local authors and readers in one of Cumbria’s most historic settings. The fair runs throughout the day and is a chance to browse a wide range of local books, meet the writers behind them, and enjoy the atmosphere of a place that has been part of the region’s story for centuries.
For me, visiting Swarthmoor Hall always carries a bit of personal history. I actually lived in Swarthmoor as a child, and some of my earliest memories are of long hot summers and family picnics behind the hall on the banks of Dragley Beck. Returning there now as an author feels like things have come full circle.
What You’ll Find at My Table
I’ll have copies of my novel available on the day:
📖 The Mereland Chronicles: The Crier (paperback)
There will also be a special event price of £10.99 for the book during the fair.
If you already have a copy, feel free to bring it along and I’d be very happy to sign it, then browse the other book stalls while you’re there.
I’ll also be giving away free Mereland Chronicles bookmarks while stocks last.
