When I recently announced The Mereland Chronicles – The Crier, I had my heart set on a Spring 2025 release. Many of you have reached out with excitement and kind words, and it truly means the world to know there are readers eagerly waiting to explore the world of Mereland, a reimagined English Lake District where myth and mystery are no longer just old legends, but something far more tangible, shaping both the past and the future.
But I need to be honest with you.
Life, like it does for many of us, has been hetic. Between a busy full-time job and the usual home/life demands, finding uninterrupted stretches of time to write has been a real challenge. On top of that, the process of beta reading and development feedback has taken the story in new and much-improved directions. Directions I couldn’t ignore.
The good news? I’m nearly there!
But to hit the original release date, I’d have to rush the final stages. And anyone who knows me knows – I hate doing half a job.

After investing so much time (years, in fact) into the world of Mereland, I refuse to cut corners. Especially when so many of you are waiting eagerly.
I want The Crier to be the strongest start possible for The Mereland Chronicles, a story worthy of your time and anticipation.
So, the release will be pushed back slightly to Summer 2025. I hate to be vague, but I’m currently aiming for August or September.
To those who were counting down to spring: I’m truly sorry. Please know this delay comes from a place of deep care – for the story, the world, and most of all, for you, the readers.
Thank you for your patience and support. It really will be worth the wait.
